Best Spring Jackets

Happy Spring everyone! Is anyone else ready for some warmer weather? When I think of spring my mind immediately thinks cool mornings, rain, pastels, and cherry blossoms. The weather can be so unpredictable and I like to be prepared for anything. It is still cold in NJ but we get a warm day from time to time. In the spring we have cool mornings and warm afternoons and a lightweight jacket is the perfect solution. So I rounded up some of my favorite affordable spring jackets this year.

Denim Jacket

Your wardrobe is not complete without a denim jacket. This jacket is one of my favorites for spring and has been a staple in my closet for as long as I can remember. It’s a great transition piece that can be worn with just about everything, from pants and shorts to dresses and rompers. Here I dressed it up with white jeans, wedges, sunglasses, and a sweater, perfect for the cooler, windier days.

Trench coat

Trench coats are a big trend this Spring since they are lightweight and versatile. I had this black jacket for years and its safe to say I am obsessed! I love how chic it looks tied with my ripped jeans and nude pumps but I have also went more casual with white sneakers or flats.

Military Jacket

This classic green jacket is a great layering piece that comes with lots of pockets and a hood. Options are endless as far as what to wear with it. Here I kept it casual with ripped jeans, striped crew neck tee and sneakers, but it can also be layered with a dress or shorts for those cool spring days.

Moto Jacket

Another one of my favorites, the moto jacket is a great transition piece that can be worn dressy or casual, and this pretty taupe color matches everything. Along with this suede jacket I also have an almost identical faux leather moto jacket that I have worn this season, and I promise you wont be disappointed. I opted for a more casual look with sneakers, ripped jeans, and a sweater, but I do love dressing them up with heels and a blouse.

Raincoat

Now unless you live in a dessert everyone should have a raincoat. Here in NJ it rains a lot in April. Ever hear the saying “April showers bring May flowers”? It was raining a lot the day this photo was taken and I was able to put it to the test. Even though I was taking blog photos the coats lightweight fabric left me warm and dry the entire time. This raincoat also has built in adjustable straps for a more fitted look and pairs best with some hunter rainboots. My favorite thing about this coat is the price, its only $40! Can’t beat that!
